What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We collect data that you input from your contact forms for distribution of membership/newsletter information.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

WJA does not rent, sell or share information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your written permission, or under the following circumstances:
- We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with WJA under confidentiality agreements, with terms and conditions at least as restrictive as the confidentiality terms and conditions contained here. These companies may use your Information to assist in providing our products, support and services to you. However, these companies do not have any independent right to use, store or share your Information.
- We may provide non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners, like publishers, advertisers or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of our services.
- We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
- We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use or as otherwise required by law.
- We transfer information about you if WJA is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, we will notify you before Information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy. You will have the right to instruct us to delete your information if you do not want it transferred.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
We provide access to Information about you to our employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that Information to provide our products, support or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and other applicable rules and regulations to protect Information about you. However, we cannot absolutely guarantee the strict confidentiality of your Information.
